Miami Programming Contests

E-mail Print PDF

With the success of the Lan Party, the transition into our spring programming schedule comes into effect. In the coming weeks we will be continuing our computer help desks alongside our normal activities. New for the season is the start of preparation for the Miami Programming contests.

We are entering two contests. A pure coding contest in which we took third last year and a gaming programming contest. As such, we will be having our first game programming meeting on Friday. This will involve brainstorming for what our game will look like and just a basic information meeting. Unfortunately this is going to be a during school contest so we will be determining who can go by how much you contribute and how much you show up.

Your Prime Minister,

Shy Ruparel

Capstone Presentation

E-mail Print PDF

The Senior Capstone Class has been researching and working on our 40 page papers for senior capstone since the middle of the end of junior year.

This class is really rewarding and one of the few times where the school lets us do what we want. The thing is though, the administrators being mean want to take the class away. Our cunning plan though is to have so many people show up that they move us out of the Harvard Room and into the auditorium and they have to keep the class.

If you show up you'll get to part of this silent rebellion against the administration and get to learn a thing our too about:

Confusing Mathematics in a form that regular humans can understand which end up equaling 42 because of Tong (we're going to do the roller coaster during this presentation)
Soccer in popular culture and Europe by Kelly
Emotional Music by the Phamanator
The Bad things that happen in Thailand to Girls by Courtney
Myths and why they are mind blowing by Ester
H2O and why it is magnificent by Rachel
Brains by Drew
How VR is going to replace RL by Shy

So in the spirt of Mr. Kummer's anger at the Administrations poor desision making, come join us for a night of silent rebellion and great thought, Thursday, November 6th from 6 30 to 8 ish.
